Tyson has been with Fox Peterson since early 2011. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communications and completed his Masters of Science in Accounting from Grand Canyon University in 2012. After plenty of early and late hours studying he passed the last of the CPA exams in the summer of 2014 and received his license later that fall. After spending several years in the corporate business world he believes he has found his home here on the Fox Peterson team. He loves to help small businesses get on their feet and make smart steps that will insure their longevity. Outside of work Tyson loves spending time with his wife and six children. He says that nothing in life compares to the joy of watching his children grow and experience new things. He serves as a local Boy Scout youth leader and having grown up in a small town in northern Arizona he loves all things outdoor. It’s not uncommon to find him hiking to a mountain top, snowboarding down a wintery slope, or simply relaxing around the campfire. Tyson is the Dave Ramsey Endorsed Local Provider (ELP) for our office.

Dason joined Fox Peterson starting with the 2014 tax season. He completed his Bachelor of Accounting at BYU-Idaho in 2011 and went on to receive a dual Masters in Accounting and Business Administration at Idaho State University. He obtained his CPA license in the summer of 2014. Dason spends his free time with his wife and five children. He enjoys watching basketball and volleyball, but would much rather be on the hardwood competing. Dason plays the piano, guitar and drums whenever he gets a chance. He also likes spending time camping, four-wheeling, and spelunking.

David joined the Fox Peterson Firm in October of 2014. He graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor double major in accounting and computer information systems and a Master’s in Taxation. Outside of work, David loves to spend time with his wife while they discover the joys of parenthood as they spend time with and take care of their five children. David is an avid football fan and loves to watch it as often as he can. Although football is his favorite, David loves sports in general and enjoys any time he can either play or watch them. He recently picked up golf as a new hobby. He also enjoys watching movies and TV shows with his wife. When he can get away he also loves camping, riding quads, being outdoors and spending time with extended family.

Rachel graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. After graduation she spent 5 years with Deloitte in Phoenix, working primarily with big public companies and high net worth individuals. While there she was promoted to Senior Tax Consultant and obtained her CPA license. In 2014, Rachel joined Halverson & Company and spent 5 years working with a variety of client types, business structures and industries. During her time at Halverson & Company, she advanced to the position of Senior Manager and was heavily involved with providing tax accounting, consulting and compliance services to a wide range of businesses from large public and private corporations to closely held flow-through entities, trusts and individuals. Rachel also has experience with Quickbooks, multi state tax application, transaction planning and audit defense.
Rachel joined Fox Peterson in September 2019 and is excited for the opportunity to leverage her past professional experience and technical expertise to help smaller businesses and individuals plan for the future and be successful with their financial endeavors.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 10 nieces and nephews. She also enjoys volunteering at her church, reading, romantic comedies, doing CrossFit (the noncompetitive kind), hiking in the great outdoors, trying new restaurants and travelling. Her latest adventure was a trip to Africa where she spent time on safari and doing humanitarian service for a small village in Kenya.

Rick went to Arizona State University where he obtained his Bachelors in Accounting and Masters in Taxation, graduating in 2017. After college, he started his accounting career at RSM US. He attained his CPA license and spent most of his three years with RSM focused on large business taxes. Seeking to broaden his tax experience, Rick joined the team at TFO Phoenix, where he spent two years focusing on high net worth individual and family-owned business taxes. He joined the Fox Peterson family in October of 2022, excited to start the next chapter of his career. While not in the office, Rick enjoys spending time with his family. Blessed with five beautiful children, there is no shortage of soccer games, orchestra concerts and piano recitals to attend. He loves unplugging from day-to-day life to go camping and spending time in the garage working on projects.

Nathan has been with Fox Peterson since the beginning of 2019. He earned his Bachelor of Accounting degree at BYU-Idaho in 2018 and his Master of Accounting degree from Western Governors University in 2021. He is currently working on taking the CPA exams. When not working, Nathan loves to spend time with his wife and 2 boys. He also enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball and golf, as well as basically any outdoor activity including BBQ, hiking, camping, and going to the park.

Kaitlyn grew up in Springerville, Arizona and is one of 6 kids. She was raised on her family’s ranch, where she enjoys riding horses and branding calves. She graduated from BYU-Idaho with her bachelor’s degree in Accounting in December 2021. She plans on continuing her education to receive her Masters and take the exams to get her CPA license. When she isn’t in school, she loves to hang out with her friends, read, and be outside in the sun doing anything active.

Dani Lyn is very excited to have joined Fox Peterson as office manager in 2016. Her years of experience in managing departments and solving business problems have enabled her to quickly make significant contributions to the Fox Peterson team. Her experience in accounting made for an easy transition to Accounting Manager in 2018. Dani Lyn was born and raised in Arizona and attended Northern Arizona University. She has held many roles in her professional career from office manager, consultant in her own business, to president of a local finance and accounting firm. Dani Lyn loves all things family. She has six children and twelve grandchildren. When she is not at Fox Petersen, she will often be found spoiling her grandchildren or spending with her kids. She loves serving at her church with the women and youth organizations. Dani Lyn also enjoys spending time in the outdoors, watching college sports, reading, cooking, puzzles, riding quads, and hiking with her family.

Amy joined the Fox Peterson team in April 2016. She earned her Associate Degree in Accounting in 1991 and has been working as a bookkeeper and/or staff accountant ever since (except for about fifteen years when she stayed home to raise four sons and work part time in the school district as a librarian). She grew up in a military family, living all over the world, but has called Arizona home since 2008. Amy is a Staff Accountant and works with our monthly accounting clients, prepares payroll, 1099s at year end and sales tax. Outside of work at Fox Peterson, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, her four children & their spouses, reading, baseball games and RV camping.

Taylor started as an intern at Fox Peterson in January 2020 and is now a staff accountant. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University Idaho in April 2021. In June 2021 she became a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor. Outside of work, Taylor loves to spend time with her husband and son doing anything fun together. She loves playing board games, doing arts and crafts, and playing the piano.

Scott was born and raised in Gilbert Arizona and will forever consider the desert as home. He first worked for Fox Peterson in 2023 as a tax intern and joined full–time in 2024. His degree in Business Administration and Accounting was completed through his time at Utah Valley University and more recently through Western Governors University. A masters in accountancy is on Scott’s horizon and will most likely begin in 2024. Scott enjoys all things music as long as country is excluded from that list. Scott sings, plays the piano and saxophone, and enjoys writing and performing original pieces. Scott also enjoys reading and playing every board game imaginable. If Scott could order his life in three words, they would most likely be family, faith, and of course, finance.

Mary Ann joined the Fox Peterson team May of 2018. She has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Mary Ann handles the office accounts receivables, and all other duties as the day requires. She also handles any LLC paperwork that needs to be completed. More importantly, she is in charge of making sure the chocolate jars are always full. When she is not at Fox Peterson she enjoys hanging out with her husband, taking her dog Gus to the park, reading, hiking, and visiting with family.

Amiee joined the Fox Peterson team in August of 2018 as the morning receptionist after spending several years as a homemaker. Amiee has an Associate Degree in Computer Technology – Web Design, and has an abundance of work experience in financial services and IT project management, as well as intellectual property law administration. When she isn’t at Fox Peterson, she is spending time with her husband, two mostly grown kids & Leo, the 10-pound Shih Tzu. She also enjoys watching sports and movies, reading, card crafting, pour painting, working out and puzzles of all varieties.

Renee worked as an executive assistant in the electronics industry for 8 years. She then left the workforce to raise four children who are all now married and progressing in their chosen careers. Renee has earned business and IT related college credits at Mesa Community College. Renee chose to re-enter the workforce and joined Fox Peterson in January 2021 as an administrative assistant. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her four grandchildren, quilting, going out to eat and shopping with friends. Anyone who knows Renee, knows she loves to bake, with cookies being her specialty.

Annie Haws joined Fox Peterson in mid-2023. She works with data entry and other admin assignments. She is currently a senior in high school but will be attending BYU in the fall. She loves ice skating, skiing, singing, and spending time with friends and family. Annie has been in various choirs most of her life and enjoys it immensely. Her five younger siblings always keep her entertained and busy, but she couldn’t imagine any better people to spend her time with. She thinks nature is amazing and loves every moment she gets to spend surrounded by it, whether that’s through hiking, camping, walking in a garden, or even watering her houseplants.

Burke has recently joined the team as a new tax intern here at Fox Peterson. He is the oldest of six kids, is a board member for a local non-profit, Best Life Youth Leadership Development, and loves sports! He is a huge fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns, and Arizona Cardinals. When Burke isn’t working, you can probably find him playing pickleball, basketball, or on a run.
